Speaker’s Profile

Malcolm Baker serves as Senior Director of foreign exchange and interest rate products for CME Group, based out of the Singapore office. Prior to joining CME Group in 2010, Baker spent more than three years as a strategist and trader at Source Capital in Zug, Switzerland. Between 2006 and 2008, Baker was an interest rate and FX trader at proprietary trading firm Jump Trading, having joined from Curve Trader in Chicago where he was a managing director for four years


Jim Stavros joined CQG in August 2005. Stavros is a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), where he specializes in trading a variety of commodities such as equity indices, crude oil, gold, and agricultural commodities. In 1997, he established Apollo Managed Futures, and in 2003, he was invited to be a partner at Boston Cabot, a Chicago-based managed futures firm. While trading managed futures, he was instrumental in introducing arbitrage strategies using CQG spreader technology, which is an industry standard today. Stavros graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a degree in finance.
